Lindores Abbey Distillery, located in the Scottish Lowlands, brings with it a great deal of whisky history. The first documented distillation of whisky took place at this distillery in 1494. It is thanks to the records of this distillery that Scotland is considered the "country of origin" of whisky, even if the Irish certainly disagree. For a long time, Lindores Abbey was closed and only revived in 2017. This Lindores single malt is bottled at the distillery in the unique limited edition with 49.4% alcohol content and matured in ex-bourbon casks.
