After the last two-year break, during which the Tobermory distillery was extensively renovated, the new 12YO was presented, which will be the future flagship of the distillery. In addition to the renovations, the production break was mainly used for "obesessively perfecting and crafting a new signature impression", i.e. for the creation of the new headliner of the Tobermory range, which is first matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks before it receives a 9-month finish in Virgin American Oak.
