Tamnavulin Red Wine Cask Pinot Noir Single Malt

A great Tamnavulin that demonstrates the distillery's skills in using interesting cask bottlings for their fantastic single malt Scotch whisky. This time it's red wine!

The whisky is initially matured in American oak casks, but before it is bottled, it enjoys a stay in German Pinot Noir wine casks, which give it a whole heap of warming dark fruit and sweet spice notes.

Colour:
Dark golden yellow

Aroma:
Fruity with notes of red berries and black cherries. Accompanied by warm apple pie, vanilla and peach compote.

Palate:
Sweet and oily on the tongue. Starts with sweet figs and maple syrup. Accompanied by ripe peaches, chocolate and a little ginger.

Finish:
Medium long and complex with pickled cherries, spicy liquorice and vanilla.
